After having four children, former model Laura O’Donnell wanted a flat belly, and underwent cosmetic surgery to get one. Unfortunately, her stomach was so tight, it brought on premature labor. She paid €1,860 ($2,400) for said surgery.

The 28-year-old woman from Cefn Mawr, Wrexham, in the UK, found out that she was at risks 18 weeks into her pregnancy. She was forced to have an emergency caesarean operation 10 weeks before she was due.

Right after she became pregnant, she began developing extreme stomach pain. As she didn't experience a growth, she went to a doctor. Laura learned that the tummy tuck had left her muscles tight enough to push the baby against her right kidney.

According to the Daily Mail, she gave birth to a 3lb 13oz son, who she named Blake, with complications.

“Blake almost died because of my tummy tuck. I could feel something tearing in my belly and I thought it was the stitches from the tummy tuck coming apart,” she said.
