Earlier this week, Microsoft has made Cortana (the digital personal assistant included in Windows Phone 8.1) available on more markets out there, including China, where it features a different look when compared to the English counterpart.

As it turns out, the company has also decided to add some more animations to it, and users will be able to enjoy these when Cortana is telling a joke, or when they utter a specific trigger phrase.

One thing that should be noted, however, is the fact that the Chinese version of Cortana (Xiao Na) has received 24 different new animations, every one of them specific to this market, while the English version has received only 6 new ones, at least this is what Livesino.net reports.

At the moment, Cortana is officially available only in six countries out there, namely the US, the UK, China, Australia, Canada, and India.

Users in other markets out there can also get the digital personal assistant on their smartphones, as long as they change their location and language settings to one of the aforementioned countries and to English or Chinese, respectively.

Most probably, more such enhancements will be added to Cortana in the not-too-distant future, so stay tuned to learn more on the matter.
