Extreme power users, hard-core gamers, as well as multitasking and overclocking enthusiasts could all consider that their possibilities just expanded with this latest DDR3 addition from the famous memory manufacturer Corsair. Not too long after it was voted the Best PSU and Memory manufacturer, the well-to-do company seems to have released this latest, limited line of Dominator GT products as a way to celebrate. Even though the previous Dominator DDR3 modules were nothing to be frowned upon, this new Dominator GTX DIMM is capable of frequencies so high, that all but the most capable central processing units can fully utilize their power.

"Corsair has a long history of delivering the fastest overclocking memory on the planet, and our engineering expertise and unique understanding of the enthusiast market allows us to continue to push boundaries," Kevin Conley, VP of engineering at Corsair, said. "Corsair Dominator GTX modules are the most tightly-screened, highest-quality and fastest DDR3 memory modules in the world, and we look forward to seeing what the enthusiast and overclocking community can do with these exciting new products."

The individual GTX modules have been individually tested on high-performance Intel X58 and P55 chipset platforms, thus ensuring that they are able to operate at a latency of 8-8-8-24 at 1.65V while running at the 2250MHz frequency. As mentioned, they are specifically aimed at power users, especially overclockers who want to see what their CPUs can do but don't have a memory capable of carrying that processor to greater heights.

The Dominator GTX modules are not restricted only to the Intel platforms. The DIMM modules have been found to run at 1800MHz CL6 in high-performance Socket AM3 motherboards for AMD Phenom II processors, thus being a good overclocking means even for AMD-based systems.

The individual DDR3 modules are built with the DHX+ heatsink in order to prevent failure because of overheating. Corsair's Dominator GTX DIMM module will be available exclusively through Corsair's Online Store and will have a very limited availability. It will be launched on December 8 and sold to whoever places the orders first.
