Corsair, a leading vendor of high-performance memory, Flash-based storage devices and computer components, has just announced the launch of its new TX950W power supply unit (PSU), as part of the company's award-winning TX series of high-quality PSUs. Designed to provide computer enthusiasts with a high-power PSU, the new addition has been built with industrial-grade components, a design feature meant to ensure clean and stable voltages and consequently the necessary performance for
running the latest high-end components on the market.

“Corsair’s TX650W, TX750W, and TX850W PSUs have dominated the market by offering superior performance and quality at affordable prices,” said Jim Carlton, vice president of marketing at Corsair. “The TX950W raises the bar even higher, thanks to 80 PLUS Bronze efficiency, low noise, and output that’s capable of reliably powering even the most demanding Dream PCs.”

The PSU has been designed with a dedicated +12V rail, capable of delivering up to 78A (936W), which translates into a 98.5% efficiency of the PSU's total power output, making Corsair's latest solution a favorite choice for computer enthusiasts looking for a high-performance and reliable power supply. The unit has been certified with 80 PLUS Bronze rating and comes with six 6+2pin PCI-Express cables that are necessary for high-end computer systems that make use of NVIDIA and AMD's SLI and ATI CrossFireX multi-GPU solutions. In addition, the product comes with extra-long cables that are aimed at users with full-tower chassis.

According to Corsair, the new power supply unit is designed to work at full potential while delivering minimal waste heat and quiet working environment. The 140mm cooling fan spins at minimum speed until the PSU reaches approximately 65% of its total load. Unfortunately, the company hasn't announced any details regarding the pricing and availability of the new PSU.
