Given its important status on the portable storage solutions' market, Corsair has decided that it's a good idea to reveal a brand new product series at CeBIT 2011, one of the fist line of new products to make their way to the market being USB 3.0-enabled Flash Voyager flash drives.

Without a doubt, just about everyone out there has at least heard about Corsair's Voyager series of flash drives, that were among the first such products ever to provide a higher level of security for one's data by equipping the flash module with several layers of protection, including a rubberized external casing.

We'll have to admit that we were thoroughly impressed with the various Voyager models that made their way onto the market over time, and for this reason, the fact that the company has decided to finally grant these products a SuperSpeed interface is certainly a good news.

We've talked time and time again about the impressive data transfer speeds enabled by the SuperSpeed interface, so we'll not tackle this issue once again (suffice to say they're really uber-speedy).

As TechPowerUp reports, the devices in the series will be available in 8, 16 and 32GB versions, which means that they'll also provide plenty of storage space, aside from the actual speeds.

“The faster read speeds offered by USB 3.0 make high-speed data storage much more convenient," said Thi La, Vice President of Memory Products at Corsair, adding that "for example, high-bandwidth videos can be viewed directly from the USB drive, so you no longer have to wait while they are copied to a hard drive or SSD."

Of course, pricing will depend strictly on the amount of storage space provided by each model, but the same source mentioned above points out that the new Corsair Flash Voyager USB 3.0 flash drives should be available in the US$19.99 through US$69.99 range, which is actually quite OK, given the features they're capable of providing.
