Corsair Presents SPP SLI Memory Modules

Following the 600i launch madness, several memory integrators have released "SLI Ready" products. From Nvidia's side came the announcement that OCZ, Corsair, Crucial and Kingston are the producers that have Nvidia's "blessing" to produce ERP memory sticks
compatible to the new nForce line. Days later, OCZ announced its new SLI sticks. And now it's Corsair's time to do the same.

Corsair's new memory, TWIN2X2048-9136C5D DOMINATOR coming in packages of 2GB Kits is optimized for nForce 680i SLI MCP and it can reach 1142MHz. At least when pretested by Corsair. It's the SPP certification that does the entire job, since this actually allows for tighter timings than on other platforms. Let's hope that practice can confirm this idea, otherwise ERP sticks will be useless.

These modules use Dominator Airflow fans for additional cooling. Default timings are 5-5-5-15 and you need 2.1V in order to run the sticks at default speeds. Pricing and availability are unknown.

It seems that Corsair and OCZ should join hands and congratulate one another about the fact that they managed to launch products that no one has actually seen until now. I guess overclockers will have to wait.
