Most of today's computer components manufacturers choose to address their latest products to all those computer enthusiasts out there that require the highest performance available on the market. This is also the case with computer power supply units, which are build to deliver more power to PCs that are built using the latest hardware components on the market.

With all this, one of the latest releases from Corsair, a worldwide leader in high performance computer and flash memory products, comes to meet the requirements of mainstream PC users, with the "Professional Series" 450W PSU.

"The Corsair Professional Series of power supply units have been designed by Corsair and engineered to the highest standards for enthusiasts that demand the very best. They set a new standard by which all premium PSUs must be judged," said Vice President of Marketing at Corsair, Jim Carlton. "The Corsair Professional Series HX450W is ideal for enthusiasts in need of a PSU for PCs with modest power requirements, such as Home Theatre PCs and mid-range gaming PCs, but who don't want to sacrifice quality, features or performance."

The company's new Professional Series HX450W has been designed using industrial-grade components to ensure stable, clean and reliable voltages, thus being capable of delivering 88% of its total power output on its 12V rail. This will keep the user's high-performance graphics card well within its working limits. Also, according to Corsair, the high-performance 450W PSU has been built to work at 100% load, while the ambient temperature is set at 50 degrees Celsius.

Other details include a built-in 120mm fan and an overall design that meets the 80 PLUS BRONZE certification, which guarantees an 82% minimum efficiency. Regarding availability, the company said that its Professional Series HX450W would be available in Europe and Asia starting this week, with an included 7-year warranty.
