Corsair has just announced today that it has extended the warranty for its high-performance Hydro Series H60 CPU water cooler from two years to five years. The prolonged warranty period is offered to both customers who have already purchased an H60, as well as to new customers.

The Hydro Series H60 is a closed-loop CPU cooling system that uses low-permeability FEP (Fluorinated Ethylene Propylene) tubing for near-zero evaporation and was launched at the beginning of March 2011.

Outside of the special tubing used, the H60 also comes equipped with a 120mm radiator that is accompanied by a 74.4 CFM fan.

This has been specially designed so that it would offer enhanced static pressure, but Corsair also states that it should deliver an overall quiet computing experience.

Corsair's solution is compatible with a wide range of processors built by Intel as well as AMD, including AM3+, LGA 1155 and LGA 1366 models.

“The new, longer warranty reflects the care that Corsair has taken with design and construction of the H60, as well as the choice of high-quality materials,” said Ruben Mookerjee, VP and General Manager for Components at Corsair.

“Our customers can enjoy the benefits of high performance CPU cooling and confidently expect reliable operation for at least half a decade,” concluded the company's rep.

The Corsair Hydro Series H60 is available right now for purchase and its suggested retail price is set at $74 USD.

Previous to the Hydro Series H60, Corsair released two other water cooling systems, the H50 and the H70, but these don't the extended warranty that is available for the H60.

The H60 was designed together with CoolIT, a company well known for its closed-loop liquid cooling solutions, and is just the first product to come out of this partnership.
