If you own a Corsair series Force GT or series 3 SSD, here's your firmware

Here goes a new firmware version for two or Corsair's SSD series, the Force GT and Series 3. The new firmware reaches version 1.3.3 and addresses some errors which occurred with the previous version in certain situations.

The new Corsair firmware can be updated using the manufacturer's toolbox and no issues have been reported when updating from version 1.2 to 1.3.3 directly.

The current version addresses three major errors. First of all comes a rarely-occurring hang when waking from slumber mode. In case the SSD was set as the primary storage boot device, a BsoD ensued.

The second fix concerns S3/ S4 cycling: marginal flash timing used to return errors, but things are OK now, as Corsair says. Finally, APM (Advanced Power Management) was reported as disabled in identify mode, during firmware update, and correct values are displayed now.

Like with any firmware update, we recommend backing up all the data on the SSD before starting the process and make sure you do not shut down the system until the procedure is completed, or your drive may become unusable.
