With all the new graphics cards coming out, and with new CPUs just around the corner, Corsair figured it would probably be best to update its high-end memory line, this time with the addition of a kit faster than 2,000 MHz.

As end-users no doubt know already, Advanced Micro Devices, along with partners like Gigabyte, just launched the Radeon HD 6970 and HD 6950 graphics cards.

They are the newest and strongest HD 6000 series adapters yet and are powered by the Cayman graphics processing unit.

Consumers will also be aware of the fact that Intel's Sandy Bridge CPUs and AMD's Fusion APUs aren't that far off either.

Thus, it is only fair that makers of memory products release some new devices of their own, so as to match the performance of the next-generation hardware.

That said, Corsair just showed off the newest addition to the Dominator GT series of high-grade RAM, one kit known as CMT4GX3M2B2133C9.

It is composed of two 2 GB modules (meaning it has a capacity of 4 GB, obviously), both of which work at a clock speed of 2133 MHz.

Additionally, they have the same latency of 9-11-9-27 and function on a current with a voltage of 1.5V.

"We have seen an increasing number of requests from overclockers for memory that can achieve high clock speeds at lower voltages," stated Thi La, Vice President of Memory Products at Corsair.

"At 2133MHz, this 4GB memory is the world’s fastest commercially available memory at 1.5 volts," the VP went on to saying.

The modules are equipped with Corsair's patented DHX+ heatsinks and the kit comes with the GT Airflow module, making it most suited for overclocking because of the extra cooling prowess.

Those seeking to acquire the new DDR3 memory kit will have to pay $169.99. A lifetime warranty is offered along with the product itself.
