Having managed to set a new overclocking record with its line of high-end Dominator GT DDR3 triple channel memory kits, memory maker Corsair has just announced that its line of Dominator GT DDR3 memory has just passed Intel's XMP-Ready certification for Core i7 Extreme Edition processors. This basically means that the company's high-end line of memory modules, specifically designed for the Nehalem X58 platform, has received Intel's stamp of approval as being the fastest memory kit to provide users with support for high-end desktop systems, based on Core i7 processors.

“Corsair continues to push the memory speed envelope with the Dominator GT line,” Jim Carlton, VP of Marketing at Corsair, said. “TR3X6G2000C8GTF is the highest performing DDR3 product currently offered through the Corsair reseller channel, and, with its unique status as the fastest XMP-certified memory available, it is destined to become the high performance memory of choice for enthusiasts using the Core i7 platform.”

Corsair's 6GB Dominator GT 2000MHz CAS 8 memory kit is part of the company recognizable Dominator GT line, a family of memory products that has been specifically tailored to meet the performance requirements of high-end computer users. Its most recent addition to this line is the 6GB DDR3 memory kit, which can enable computer and overclocking enthusiasts to set new records in terms of performance, by tweaking the various parts of their system's hardware for increased performance.

“Corsair has been a strong contributor to the effort to support the Intel XMP specification,” Steve Peterson, director of Chipset Marketing for Intel’s Business Client Group, added. “This qualification is a landmark for Corsair, solidifying their position as a leading supplier of high end XMP qualified solutions for the Intel Core™ i7 processor Extreme Edition.”

As you are probably already aware, this line of memory modules is built using Corsair's patent-pending DHX+ (Dual-path Heat eXchange) heatsink, a specially purposed cooling solution that is meant to effectively cool down the module's memory ICs.
