Corsair has already presented a wide selection of products at this year's Computex fair, but the company is not ready to call it quits yet and has recently announced the introduction of a new series of Vengeance low-profile DDR3 memory kits.

Unlike the heatsinks used for the standard Vengeance DDR3 modules, the LP version packs a re-designed heatspreader which is about 21mm smaller, as it measures just 26.25mm in height.

Thanks to this modification, the DIMM modules are compatible with most aftermarket coolers and can even be installed in small form factor cases or other space-constrained enclosures.

As far as their specifications are concerned, the Vengeance low-profile kits are designed to function with 1.5V (making them compatible with Sandy Bridge CPUs) and have a base frequency of 1600MHz.

Timings are set at 9-9-9-24 and capacities range between 4GB and 16GB. The 16GB kits include four DIMM modules.

The only exception to this rule is the special edition Arctic White kit (dual-channel 8GB), which requires only 1.35V to operate.

Outside of Arctic White, Corsair's Vengeance LP memory kits will be available in Jet Black and Cerulean Blue colorways.

"Vengeance is the premier choice for system builders and gaming enthusiasts who want dependable, overclockable memory for a great price." said Giovanni Sena, director of Memory Products at Corsair.

"Our new low-profile Vengeance LP memory gives enthusiasts more freedom and flexibility in building high-performance PCs," concluded the company's rep.

All Vengeance LP memory kits are compatible with both Intel and AMD platforms and should become available in June at a yet-undisclosed price point.

With just a few days before Computex 2011 starts, Corsair has launched Dominator GTX 2x4GB 2400MHz CL9 DDR3 memory kit, which targets high-performance systems and is available for $499 USD, as a limited edition item.
