Users probably already stumbled upon news of Corsair's newest peripherals, but the company isn't done yet, having prepared, among other things, a mouse and keyboard optimized for first-person shooter games.

The common IT consumer doesn't really pay much mind to the subtleties that peripherals can integrate.

There are, however, people who could definitely use high-end products, especially gamers who expect high versatility and responsiveness.

Players of FPS (first-person) games are, one might say, among the most demanding, since precision and quickness of action is paramount for them.

Corsair decided to try and rise to the occasion, creating, among other things, the vengeance K60 keyboard and M60 laser mouse.

The mouse has an aluminum unibody design, PTFE glide pads, an adjustable center of gravity and, most importantly, a top-grade Avago 5670 DPI sensor, plus programmable lift detection and a high-mass scroll wheel.

The M60 has an MSRP of $79 and a Sniper button, which instantly switches between fast movement (high DPI) mode to a high-precision mode, for extra aiming accuracy.

Meanwhile, the K60 keyboard, also for FPS games, has a 1 ms report rate, a 20-key rollover, USB connectivity, anti-ghosting and Cherry MX Red mechanical key switches.

As a bonus, the WASD key caps are textured and the contoured left-wrist rest provides comfort during extended gaming sessions. K60 sells for $99.

"Corsair has built a reputation for developing innovative products that focus on the unique needs of our customers," said Andy Paul, Corsair's president and CEO.

"Our new Vengeance keyboards and mice follow in that tradition. PC gamers will love their gorgeous design and attention to the smallest details, like the intelligently designed button layout on our mice or the specially shaped WASD keycaps on our keyboard."
