This year, environmentally friendly designers are launching a series of awesome-looking alternatives on the market. One of the most ingenious options is the recyclable Christmas tree made of corrugated cardboard.

The product is lightweight, easy to fold and pack and definitely something you don't see in every British household, Treehugger informs.

Giles Miller is behind this project aiming to find eco-friendly alternatives to millions of natural trees being cut every year just to revive our Christmas spirit.

The corrugated cardboard item has a considerably lower ecological impact and can be used over and over again. The proud designer has showcased one of his gigantic masterpieces at London's Design Museum.

Another innovative product introduced just in time to green up our winter holidays is the Lovi Birch Wood Christmas Tree Lovi, priced at $97.95 (€74.92). It is a handmade product, manufactured entirely of sustainable birch plywood from Finland.
