Script Software updates one of its three Essential Utilities for Mac OS X

CopyPaste was the first Mac application to add multiple clipboards. This meant that more data could be moved in less time, also allowing users to see multiple clipboards, edit them, archive them and save them through restarts. The application tapping into the potential of the Mac clipboard has now been updated to version 1.0.8.

The latest iteration of Script Software's CopyPaste comes with some hefty abilities, but with this new version unveiled in 2008 (CopyPaste Pro) - a new instantly available window (similar to the Apple application switcher), the software really took off. The new feature lets you navigate through the Clip History and Clip Archive with a speed and ease as revolutionary as the first version of CopyPaste. CopyPaste Pro also includes an editor called Bean, which allows users to edit clipboards.

Although version 1.0.8 doesn't add new features (honestly now, what more could you ask from CopyPaste Pro?), it does fix a couple of nasty bugs reported since the latest iteration of the software. One of the fixes now launches Bean only once in each new version. It must have one launch to notify the OS of the presence of Bean as a service provider. The second fix makes the email extractor and url extractor work consistently in all situations.

Some of the benefits of using CopyPaste Pro include: the ability to make multiple clips; edit clips; create archives to keep any important clips you want to save and use later; add all copied items to an always-accessible history of clips; view clips the way you like via menu or graphical browser, and more.

You can also download and try out Copy Paste Pro for free. This 30-day trial lets you use all of the program's features over the course of 30 days, after which you will be prompted to buy the full version, if you wish to continue using it.

CopyPaste Pro 1.0.8 requires Mac OS X 10.4 or later to run, and is a Universal Binary, meaning you can use it on either a PowerPC or Intel-based Mac just as well.
