The policeman that released the photos of a captured Dzhokhar Tsarnaev has been let go from his job in the Force. The snapshots were taken after the Boston bombing suspect's Watertown capture.
Sgt. Sean Murphy, a photographer with the Massachusetts State Police, made the photos public as a response to a Rolling Stone cover depicting Tsarnaev as a rockstar and, even possibly, a hero.
The family of a police officer killed during the Watertown chase are supporting Murphy, as are many other people on Facebook.
According to the Washington Times, a page has been set up in order to get his job back. 57,000 users have liked the page and offered their support so far.
“He did what I think most of us would have liked to do or would have done had we had the same resources,” the description reads.
