USB 3.0 has managed to significantly grow in popularity over the last year and a half, so many companies have started incorporating his technology into their products, including Cooltek that has just announced the introduction of the K3 Evo 3.0.

Compared to the previous version of the chassis, the 3.0 packs the exact same feature set, but it adds two front panel USB 3.0 ports.

What's interesting, however, is that Cooltek has added the extra functionality without increasing the recommended selling price, since the K3 Evo 3.0 is retailing for the same 39,90€ as its predecessor.

This makes it one of the least expensive USB 3.0 chassis we have seen until now, and it surely comes as a great option for users interested in building a budget-friendly desktop system.

Outside of USB 3.0 connectivity, the K3 Evo 3.0 packs a pretty complete set of features as it allows users to install up to five fans and also comes pre-fitted with a set of holes for mounting an external water-cooling system.

In addition, the case uses and inverted motherboard design, which places the PSU at the bottom of the unit, so that it won't disturb the airflow inside the system.

As far as the expansion possibilities of the K3 Evo 3.0 are concerned, this can be populated with up to five 3.5-inch storage drives and also packs an internal 5.25-inch bay.

These is accompanied by three other 5.25-inch external bays and by a 3.5-inch external bay.

Other features include an all-black interior, a CPU cutout for quickly switching the processor cooler, a 5.25-inch flip out panel, two front panel USB 2.0 ports and a pair of audio I/O jacks.

Cooltek's K3 Evo 3.0 chassis is available for purchase right now and it comes bundled together with a 120mm blue LED fan. (via HardwareLuxx)
