The smartphone will be exclusively available via Snapdeal

As expected, Chinese company Coolpad has decided to enter the Indian market with its first Android smartphones, Dazen 1 and Dazen X7.

Both smartphones will go on sales on June 9 exclusively through online retailer Snapdeal. Still, customers will still have to register for the first sale that will kick off next week.

Dazen 1 and Dazen X7 are completely different smartphone as they target different tiers. The former is a budget-friendly smartphone that will be available for only Rs 6,999 ($110 / €100), while the latter is more of a high-end device that costs Rs 17,999 ($280 / €255) outright.

Moving on to specs, both Dazen 1 and X7 will ship with Android 4.4 KitKat operating system right out of the box, along with Cool UI on top.

However, the 1 sports a 5-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display that supports HD (720p) resolution, whereas the X7 packs a slightly larger 5.2-inch AMOLED full HD (1080p) display.

On the inside, Dazen 1 is equipped with a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor, 2GB of RAM and 8GB of internal memory.

Dazen X7 is packed with a 1.7GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6595 processor, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory. Both smartphones feature microSD card slots for memory expansion (up to 32GB).

In the camera front, Dazen X7 is the better-featured since it boasts a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera with autofocus, LED flash and video recording, as well as secondary 8-megapixel camera in the front for great selfies.

Dazen 1 has a decent 8-megapixel camera with the same features, while in the front there's a secondary 5-megapixel camera for video calls and selfies.

It's also worth mentioning that both smartphones offer dual-SIM support and are powered by by 2,500 mAh (Dazen 1) and 2,700 mAh (Dazen X7), respectively.
