Well-known PSU, cooler and computer case manufacturer Cooler Master has just announced two new power supply units (PSUs), on its official website. The most impressive aspect of these units is the single 12V rail that’s able to channel over 95% of current that the PSU is outputting.

Certainly, the most impressive model launched is the 1KW Silent Pro Platinum 1000W (RS-A00-SPPA).

This power supply can feed 984 watts directly on the 12 V line if needed and the average efficiency is always above 90%.

The PSU is certified 80 Plus Platinum, partially modular and quiet.

Cooling is handled by a 135mm Hydraulic Dynamic Bearing fan and the internal components, like the Japan-made capacitors and the LP9 transformer can withstand high environment temperatures.

The transformer itself can handle over 120 degrees Celsius working temperature.

The PCB has a double-layer EMI filter and the PSU features a high-quality VRM control and multiple protection module.

The Silent Pro Platinum 550W (RS-550-SPPA) is only partly modular, as the ATX 24-pin connector is not detachable, just like the 1KW model.

Both PSUs can handle quad-SLI configurations and come with the same quality cooling fan.
