At this year's CES, Cooler Master showcased a compact water-cooling system that was supposed to launch sometime in the first quarter of 2011 and, although the cooler hasn't yet made its market entrance, it seems that the company hasn't given up on this design as it has showcased it yet again at the CeBIT fair.

The details regarding the cooler are as scarce as before, but we do know that its design is based on a powerful 450L/s pump.

This sits on top of a pretty beefy water-block, and the whole CPU cooling assembly is a lot bigger than what Asetek and CoolIT solutions have accustomed us with.

However, Cooler Master says that its system manages to offer better performance than most other water coolers that are available now on the market thanks to an ingenious water-block design.

As the company explains, this uses a radical new patent pending fin arrangement, that features stacked copper fins to add a significant number of layers to the traditional micro-fin system, which, in turn, makes the cooler a lot more effective when faced with extreme amounts of heat.

Sadly, no details regarding the availability of the water cooler have been provided so far. Furthermore, Guru3D states that the A-L2 is still in development, so it may take some time until it reaches the market.

At CES, Cooler Master told the press that, after the A-L2 is launched, the company will continue to develop a new version of the cooler that will be paired with a 240mm radiator.

Outside of this water cooler, Cooler Master's booth also housed a new line of silent chassis, dubbed Silent M, the new GX series power supplies with an 85% efficiency rating, as well as a bunch of new air coolers, including the Hyper 612S.
