The newcomer relies on USB 3.0 and supports notebooks of up to 15.6 inches

Notebook coolers aren't exactly unusual, but for all their fame they don't often look all that fancy, even when they are usually made for gaming laptops and high-end workstations.

In a way, it is understandable. Sure, some are made for high-end products, but even then they never qualify as more than a cost-adding commodity.

Laptops run fine without them after all, if sometime a bit hot. Even those that are willing to pay the price for a powerful notebook might not be willing to waste much more on an arguably minor convenience.

Thus, even the laptop coolers meant for fancy laptops seldom have aesthetic embellishments or other unnecessary perks.

There are exceptions though, like the SF-15 Strike Force gaming grade laptop cooler released by Cooler Master.

Indeed, this one definitely doesn't stick to the normal rectangle formula. It is shaped more like a trapeze, with ridged edges.

“SF-15 carries on this tradition with its complementary ability to create the perfect atmosphere for gaming through its styling, LED lighting strip, and highly effective cooling fans,” the company wrote in its press release.

SF-15 Strike Force is powered by a USB 3.0 connection and can dissipate excess heat through its perforated surface.

The strengthened mesh easily withstands all laptop sizes up to 15.6 inches, and the single, large, and adjustable turbine fan (160 mm) disperses heat it before more can gather.

SF-15 even possesses the ability to change its height and angles. Gamers can find the perfect position, one that doesn't make their wrists ache after only a couple of hours of typing those quick action keys.

Finally, Cooler Master included a carrying handle in the blueprints, making it easy to lug around the thing, as easy as bringing a laptop in a bag. Sadly, the company didn't reveal the price of the CM Storm SF-15 Laptop Cooler.
