Since IT companies have actually been paying attention to the reactions and opinions of their customers, it makes sense that product revisions would show up eventually, this time from Cooler Master.

The new press release from Cooler Master makes it official that a new desktop case will be available two or three months from now.

Then again, this is not so much a new chassis as it is a reimagining of one that has existed for a time, namely the CM 690 II Advanced.

The new version bears the name of CM 690 II Advanced Black & White and “delivers as the ultimate mid-tower for any purpose.”

That being said, the color theme is easy enough to guess (mostly white with a black front and top).

There are plenty of drive bays available, of 5.25 inches for ODDs (optical disk drives) or accessories, and of 3.5 inches for HDDs (hard disk drives).

Cooler Master also tossed in a 1.8/2.5-inch adapter for solid state drives or particularly small SATA HDDs.

Additionally, buyers will be able to easily access spare SATA drives through the special dock at the top.

What's more, Cooler Master thought about what other features high-end hardware parts could require, eventually deciding on a larger CPU mounting hole size, among other things.

That way, both Intel Ivy Bridge CPUs (central processing units) and AMD rear mount procedures are supported.

Finally, the enclosure boasts an enhanced mesh design and allows for up to 10 fans to be installed. Not only that, but buyers can also put 120 x 140mm radiators at the top and/or bottom, for even better cooling.

Add two other radiators to that (for water-cooling units) and a large CPU cooler and this leads to one seriously chill case.

Unfortunately, the Cooler Master CM 690 II Advanced Black & White won't start selling, as mentioned above, until March, 2012 (99.95 Euro / $129.80).
