Modular PSUs are usually expensive, because makers of power supplies make sure to give them high energy efficiency and output, usually. There are milder and more affordable versions though, like the Cooler Master GM.

The new line of power supply units, the GM Series, is made of four models, in 450W, 550W, 650W and 750W.

In that order, their prices are of €42 / $42, €50 / $50, €58 / $58 and €67 / $67.

All of them have 80 Plus Bronze energy efficiency certification, custom DC-DC modules, semi-modular cabling (basic cables directly attached, the rest pluggable) and a unique 3D circuit design that minimizes unnecessary cabling (lower crosstalk and signal noise).

Shipments will only start in Europe next week, but the rest of the world should get the GM Series as well, eventually.
