European prices lowered, company celebrates twentieth anniversary

It looks like ultrabooks and memory prices aren't the only ones going down nowadays, although, true enough, Cooler Master's reasons for making cases cheaper is not the same as that of semiconductor companies.

Long story short, Cooler Master has announced that the HAF-X and HAF 932 Advanced cases will become more affordable in Europe.

This is the company's way of celebrating its twentieth anniversary.

The press release does not exactly go into the details of why US customers, or buyers from any other region, don't get similar offers.

That said, the price change will be in place starting February 18, 2012, and will last for an unspecified amount of time, perhaps even forever.

The HAF 932 Advanced will go from 139 Euro to 119 Euro, which means a cut of 20 Euro.

Meanwhile, HAF X will go from 159 Euro to 139 Euro, meaning the same price reduction as above.

For those that want a reminder, HAF stands for High Air Flow. When it originally built them, Cooler Master made a point of ensuring that the two cases were very well ventilated.

Thus, there are two 200mm fans at the top of the cases, and buyers will also find an extra spinner ready to chill the VGA card (it even has a dedicated air duct).

Furthermore, there is a 230mm fan at the front, equipped with a LED that can be shut on and off whenever users desire.

As mentioned above, Cooler Master is not the only company to reduce the prices of its products.

SanDisk, for instance, has decided to reduce the tags on more or less every NAND Flash product it has, the same way Kingston cut the prices of USB Flash drives, memory cards and SSDs by 15%.

Their reasons are different, though: their businesses haven't been doing very well, much like all other memory makers that suffered declining finances this past January.
