As its name implies, Cooler Master has unveiled a significant number of coolers over the past few months. In fact, now that summer is in full bloom, the market for special solutions is, understandably, quite favored. Eager to provide a new means of coping with that summer heat, especially for those that have a temperamental mobile computer, the company has unveiled the NotePal U3. This newcomer is a fairly versatile notebook cooling stand that can prevent any laptop from meeting a heat-induced untimely death.

The NotePal U3 is based on the U2 model and is made of aluminum. It features a mesh design and boasts anti-slip rubber bands meant to prevent the laptop from sliding off. Furthermore, it comes with a belt that helps secure the machine while moving from a place to another. As for what actually manages to drive heat away, or lower in this case, Cooler Master provided a number of features.

For one, the U3 has three 80mm fans that can spin at between 950 and 1800 RPM (rotations per minute). These fans are removable and can be controlled by means of a clip-on fan controller. Also, the minimum sound output of the spinners is 18 dBA. All of these parts are crammed inside a frame measuring 420 x 320 x 65 mm and weighing 1.04 kg. Basically, this product should be able to provide a strong and stable airflow that will guard against overheating while on the move and/or in hot environments. Needless to say, the life of the mobile PC will be extended as well.

The Cooler master NotePal U3 can accommodate notebooks with screen sizes of up to 19 inches. It runs on the power provided by a single pass-through USB cable. Unfortunately, even though it should probably come out soon, or risk debuting too late, the product has not been given a price yet.
