This one isn't quite as angry and red as the last one we wrote about

Cooler Master has completed development of a new mouse, one that will have gamers up in arms, figuratively speaking, assuming its price doesn't turn them off.

The new gaming peripheral that Cooler Master created is called Sentinel Advance II and, as some have surely guessed, is a new and improved version of the original Sentinel Advance.

It utilizes “the most advanced laser sensor,” Avago 9800, with a maximum DPI of 8,200 and, thus, sensitivity and accuracy levels not possible with anything else.

Even at lower DPI settings, the mouse will behave better than competing items, or so Cooler Master claims.

That said, the lift off distance (LOD) is low as well, for extra convenience.

For those who don't know, LOD is the speed with which the cursor moves when the mouse goes out of stationary state. High LODs can be particularly egregious, sending the cursor flying all across the screen unnecessarily. It can be even more annoying when playing games, especially shooters.

Design-wise, the mouse has a large palm style grip and an Octo-Shade LED system that lets users choose between different lighting effects and color mixes.

What's more, a modular weight management system allows owners to even control the weight, until the Sentinel Advance II “feels as though it is a natural extension of each user’s hand.”

The list of specification continues with all the things that people have come to expect from hardcore gaming mice: eight customizable buttons, on-the-fly DPI changes and 128 KB of onboard memory (stores profiles and associated macros).

Cooler Master intends to start shipping the Sentinel Advance II mouse in Europe, by the end of this month (May, 2012), for the price of €64.95. That's $85.35, according to exchange rates. Go here to read more and here for other gaming hardware, from mice to full PCs.
