No matter what you use your desktop computer for, you also listen to music or radio on it...or at least you should be. Axiom have given some thought about this habit and have come up with a rather daring and cool idea: a luxury sound system for your desktop unit, allowing you to experience audio in far better conditions than with any other stereo or 2.1 systems made for this very purpose.

The Axiom Audiobyte is the codename of the new product and by all means it will offer you quite a bite of superb quality audio.

Even more, this sound system comes in both stereo and 2.1 configurations, allowing you to tailor the way your media sounds, according to your needs. In case you're planning to install Axiom Audiobyte in your office it's most likely that you won't be cranking up the volume too much, but if you think of home use, it's possible that you need a hefty bass and go for the optional dedicated subwoofer as well.

This sound system can be connected to your PC so you can enjoy serious-quality listening with your music on online radio stations yet it is just the perfect tool for gaming as well... in case you're not asking for the most complex of multi-channel gaming audio reproduction. At the same time, you can hook the Axiom Audiobyte to your iPod and have its contents playing while the player is also being recharged.

The Axiom Audiobyte comes with a separate amplifier blasting some very serious 55W per channel and comes with two sealed-enclosure loudspeakers delivering you exceptionally-voiced sound between 100Hz and 20kHz. They run on a classic 2-way architecture, with a 1" titanium dome tweeter and a 3" aluminium cone bass/midrange driver, capable of an 87dB sensitivity and working in 8 Ohms impedance. The optional Audiobyte EPZero Passive subwoofer comes with dual 6.5" drivers and sport a triple-choice room trim working in flat, half boost and boost modes.

The price for the Axiom Audiobyte is around $559 with $179 in addition for the subwoofer.
