Quite a lot of people have taken a liking to renewables over the past few years, and both scientists and designers are doing their best to come up with new means to harvest green energy sources.

In an attempt to make sun power a tad more popular than it currently is, designers Huang Zhicong, Gan Yexin and Wang Zihua have come up with a fairly interesting and quite innovative concept solar charger.

The device that these three designers would like to hit the market sooner rather than later would let people harness sun power and use it to charge various gadgets and gizmos while on the go.

Many such concepts have hit the public eye until now, but what makes Huang Zhicong, Gan Yexin and Wang Zihua's solar charger stand out is its very innovative design.

Thus, as shown in the picture next to this article, their charger is of the roll-out type.

Trend Hunter details that the device, dubbed the E-Saving Charger, is made up of a compact case that houses a retractable sheet. This sheet comprises solar panels that are not just very thin but also flexible.

Those who wish the use the E-Saving Charger to power their gadgets and gizmos need only pull the retractable sheet and allow the solar panels to enjoy a sunbathing session.

Once the solar panels have had enough of lying in the sun, all one needs to do to make the most of the electricity that the retractable sheet has managed to produce is to connect its hungry gadgets and gizmos to the device.

Designers Huang Zhicong, Gan Yexin and Wang Zihua envision that their E-Saving Charger would be fitted with two regular USB connections and one USB 2 connection, so using it to get phones and the like back online should not be that big of a hassle.

Unfortunately, information concerning the device's electricity output and an estimated cost is currently lacking. Should the solar charger move from being just a concept to being something in the works, it is likely that its creators will detail on these two issues.
