14 DAY TRIAL // Photographer Mauricio Handler and his wife, Julia, were quite surprised to stumble upon the Cookie Monster Muppet's long-lost twin brother while exploring the reefs of Curacao in the Caribbean.
They were quite sure nobody would believe them when they told the story of this peculiar encounter, so they snapped this picture of the Cookie Monster of the Sea to prove that they were telling the truth.
Judging by the look on its face, the ocean-dwelling Cookie Monster was by no means happy to have his picture taken. In fact, it appears that it was quite shocked that Mauricio and Julia had dared violate his privacy.
Joking aside, GrindTV tells us that the Cookie Monster pictured above is actually a purple sea sponge. It measures about three feet (almost one meter) in height, and sits in the waters off Curacao's northwestern coast.
