Batch Music Converter is a free application for Windows 8 that allows users to convert audio files from one format to another without leaving the Metro UI.

The app can process quite a long list of formats, including Apple Lossless, AIFF, FLAC, OGG, WAV, MP3, M4A, and WMA, while the output formats can be AAC encoded M4A, WMA, MP3, and WAV.

In addition to ID3 tag support, the app also features multi-core processor support to increase the speed of the conversion process, but this also depends on your system’s hardware configuration.

“Batch Music Converter is designed to help you quickly convert your existing music collection into a format that is supported natively under Windows. The conversion is done in three easy steps,” the app description reads.

Batch Audio Converter supports all Windows 8 versions on the market, including x86, x64 and ARM.
