Microsoft has released My Xbox LIVE 1.5, an update to the company’s iOS app that lets you track and compare achievements, connect with your Xbox LIVE friends, and change up your 3D Avatar. Now it does a lot more than that. For example, you can now use your iPhone with your Xbox to “connect, control and discover content on your console.”
What the ambiguous Microsoft means by that is that you can access a quick list of your most recent console activity, control your media with play, pause, fast forward and rewind buttons, and access the new Discover section to find “fresh entertainment.”
The updated app features improved authentication to make it more stable and, for iPad users only, it brings “high-resolution images.” Microsoft probably can’t get themselves to say “Retina.”
