Time to polish up on those epic skills of yours as Pidgeo has confirmed that it will be giving away a free
Halo 3 Special Edition Xbox 360 console along with a
Bungie-signed poster to the guy who writes the best Halo (1 or 2) gameplay story. I know you already
have a big scenery in your head but the tricky part is that you're going to have to be brief - 100 words or less.
As Mygen.com posts... "Pidgeo (Australia's Xbox Community Manager) is giving away one Halo 3 Special Edition Xbox 360 console and a Halo 3 poster signed by Frank O'Connor and Lars Bakken from Bungie and to win, all you need to do is send your best Halo 1 or 2 gameplay story that is 100 words or less."
The same piece up on the mentioned website also says that the competition is limited to one entry per person. Oh and, to make the pain even more unbearable, if you're not an Australian or New Zealand resident, you won't be able to enter the competition.
100 words or less? Jeez...! When they ask "give us the best Halo gameplay story," do they expect you to write about how you thought the opponent was just around the corner, but he was actually behind you, and started shooting you till you were left with 1 health point, which enabled you to regenerate, distract him and then blow his a*s into nonexistence with nothing more than a grenade? Yeah, I guess it could work, but you'll have to make it sound really convincing. And dramatic too.
I don't know, emphasize on stuff such as how a blue spot of light appeared on the dead Spartan's helmet as he crashed to the ground, making it look as if a divine presence was there. I'm sure you'll come up with something. Just click on
this here link for full details on the contest.
