A new way to use your contacts as actions comes to iOS

When the first iPhone was released, things like scrolling contacts lists with gestures on a touch screen or visual voice mail were the most interesting ways to interact with the new gadget. Seven years later and we still find our contacts the same way.

The makers of Launch Center Pro introduced a new way to use contacts as actions. However, no matter how cool their productivity app was to everyone and how many new concepts are introduced, you can still only find Launch Center Pro on nerds' phones or iPads.

The guys over a Contrast are trying to take the contacts part out of their famous app and put it into a brand new app called Contact Center. This app is free and is due to come out on Thursday morning.

Sure, we have seen other apps that display contacts as icons in an app, but Contact Center does way more than that. You can set shortcuts to call your close friends or family with the tap of an icon, email your boss or a whole predefined group or send a message to a bunch of friends at the same time.

Now here's the cool part. Contacts Center can be set to perform tasks like: take the last picture and send it to a contact or send a predefined text message when you leave work. The app works with FaceTime, WhatsApp, Mail.app or any other known app that is somewhat related to communicating in general.

Contact Center is free so there's nothing stopping you to get it and try it. What do you think about this app?
