It comes to no surprise that Nokia Lumia 900 is the best Windows Phone device now available on the market. However, the Finnish company likes to brag about it every time someone else says it openly.

This time it was “Consumer Reports,” which apparently has a great reputation in the US for its objective recommendations when it comes to various products found on the marketplace.

The non-profit organization recently included the Nokia Lumia 900 in the “Top 7 electronics gifts for dads and grads.” According to Consumer Reports’ electronics experts, the Lumia 900 is the perfect smartphone choice when it comes to making gifts.

The Nokia Lumia 900, which runs on AT&T’s high-speed 4G LTE network as well as its HSPA+ 4G network, is the best Windows phone we’ve tried so far. It also has some stunning features: a 4.3-inch AMOLED display and an 8-megapixel camera with a wide-angle (28mm), large-aperture (F2.2) Carl Zeiss optics, for starters. It’s $100 with a two-year contract,” – Consumer Reports.

Although Nokia Lumia 900 is certainly the best smartphone powered by Windows Phone operating system, it can barely go against top tier Android phones.

Still, the fact that the Finnish handset manufacturer was willing to offer the Lumia 900 for such a low price in the United States proves once again that the company bets everything on Windows Phone platform.

Affordability aside, Nokia Lumia 900 offers LTE support, which is a mandatory feature in North America where most major carriers provide 4G LTE services.

The 8-megapixel rear photo snapper comes packed with Carl Zeiss optics, dual-LED flash, autofocus and HD (720p) video recording. There’s also a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera for video calls.

The phone’s 4.3-inch AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display is based on Nokia’s ClearBlack technology, but, sadly, it is limited by the mobile platform to only 480 x 800 pixels resolution.

The article is a thinly disguised rant against what becomes a reasonably successful underdog that threatens the iPodization of mobile phone sector by Apple.

That is what makes Apple evengelists jittery and they clutch each opportunity to slander whoever is even moderately successful.

The author seems to be biased against Windows Phone. Comments like the OS can "barely go against top tier Android phones". If you were talking hardware, that would make more sense. However, Windows Phones are a lot more effecient with the hardware they have than Androids are so even that may be debatable. Also the comment "sadly, it is limited by the mobile platform to only 480 x 800". Has the author even seen the phone. 99.9% of the people out there would not be able to distinguish the display quality between Windows Phone and other phones. It's that nice.

Thank you previous comments for pointing out the obvious bias.

...I don't care about the bias of the author. I don't care about the Windows platform being more efficient; Android can be tweaked to be incredibly efficient. What I do care about is Nokia making this nice phone and randomly jumping into bed with Windows. Seriously? Windows?? There are all these people already invested in either the ease of Apple or the freedom of Android & their respective markets. Physical phone aside, what does having a Windows phone offer its users that is unique and not duplicated (or better) elsewhere?? Where is its edge? I see a small consumer base. I see limited support. Ultimately, I see no distinct advantage.

Andy, you see nothing because you keep your eyes closed and hands tied behind your back.
