Connecting Got Easier with Nokia Social 1.3

Nokia phone users interested in staying connected with their friends easier that before can now do so through the latest flavor of Nokia Social, namely 1.3, which was just released in beta. Through this application, users can have live updates from their favorite social networks pushed straight on the homescreen of their devices.

The software offers social-enabled Contacts, which provides Nokia phone users with the possibility to stay up to date at all times with what their friends are doing.

The mobile application would also allow for Facebook events to be imported straight into the calendar on the phone, while photos and videos can be sent straight from the phone's camera.

The newest iteration of the Social application, version 1.3, was meant to further enhance the experience that users receive on their devices, through adding new features into the mix.

With the new app, users can enjoy features like:

Staying connected just got easier - See your friends’ status updates right from their Contacts Card - now you can see what friends are up to before you make a phone call. - From the Social application, a Linked Contacts indicator enables you to see which friends' Contacts Cards are linked. Now you can manage your social networks more efficiently. No need to sync all your Social contacts at once, just pick and choose your closest friends and always know what they are up to.

The application would also offer users the possibility to have a look at their Twitter followers list.

However, it seems that these are only some of the features that the developers behind Nokia Social have in store for their users.

Future releases of this software should bring automatic Contact linking and Facebook notifications, as well as some more widget functionalities, among other, the dev team notes.
