Microsoft has just confirmed in a short post on its community forums that Windows 8.1 Preview is now available for Britons too.

The company has added support for English (United Kingdom), so users can now download the new release from the Windows Store after deploying this patch.

“We’re pleased to announce that we have expanded the supported languages for Windows 8.1 Preview to include English (United Kingdom), or EN-GB. If the base language of your PC is English (United Kingdom), you can now download Windows 8.1 Preview from Windows Store,” the company said.

Unofficial reports claim that Microsoft has made the 8.1 Preview available to users who previously installed language packs too, but the company is yet to comment on this.

On the good side, the stand-alone ISOs are still up for grabs, so you can always go for a clean installation.
