A small Belgian retailer going by the name of Van Roey claims to have received what appears to be the first shipment of white iPhone 4 units. Imagery of the unboxing stands as evidence.

Sources reporting on this recent development seem confident that Van Roey has what may be the first legitimate and official iPhone 4 units, not some leaked prototypes, or the original black handset whose front and back glass had been exchanged with white ones.

The images not only look legit, but there is reason to believe Apple will make the proper introductions tomorrow, if a BGR report is to be believed.

The blog, whose sources are fairly accurate, has obtained a UPS shipping invoice that shows a shipment of 20 white iPhone 4 units headed to a certain AT&T store.

They are all 16GB handsets, leading to beliefs that Apple is only shipping the base configuration for those looking to acquire a white iPhone 4 after waiting nearly ten months to get their hands on one.

However, there may be hope still for those who were planning to buy a 32GB unit. According to a Best Buy source, there will also be a 32GB variant of the mythical handset.

If all these reports are to corroborate an official announcement scheduled for tomorrow, Apple is launching the White iPhone 4 just as spring is approaching an end.

Readers should remember that Cupertino delayed the smartphone not once, but three times since the iPhone 4 was officially introduced last summer.

The last deadline was Spring 2011. It appears that Apple was just about to break its fourth promise to avid iPhone fans.

Then again, the company still hasn’t issued an official announcement.
