Justin did pop the question before Christmas, on a romantic break

Just a few days into the new year, Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel must be already making wedding plans. Following reports they got engaged before Christmas, Us Weekly confirms the happy news.

Justin and Jessica dated (on and off) for about 5 years before breaking up in 2011. Towards the end of the year, though, they were back together and, it would seem, more in love than ever.

Either the break was good for their romance or they had finally realized they were made for each other, but word got out before Christmas that Justin had finally proposed.

And he did, says the aforementioned publication.

“After a series of breakups and makeups, Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel have finally decided to get married!” the magazine gushed.

Confirmation of this doesn't come from the reps of the two, but from sources well familiar with the situation: in other words, the engagement isn't 100 percent confirmed. Still, this is better than nothing.

“Justin popped the question to Biel, 29, in the mountains of Jackson, Wyoming,” the magazine says.

One insider claims both are thrilled, with Justin finally realizing that Jessica is the woman of his dreams, the one he wants to spend the rest of his life with.

“Justin knows how much she loves snowboarding and the mountains, so it was the perfect place,” says the tipster about the proposal, which must have been very romantic.

“When they reunited [after the breakup], they had a conversation about taking the next step. [He's] never been happier. He knew it was the right time to propose,” the insider notes.

As any respectable gossip lover must already know, until just recently (that is, before the engagement rumors started making the rounds online), it was believed Justin was the reason they weren't moving on in the romance because he was opposed to the idea of marriage.

Some voices even claimed that he didn't want to be tied down because he believed being married would actually put a damper on his career.
