The speculation is over, ladies and gentlemen, and so is George Clooney's bachelor life. The Hollywood actor, who claimed on numerous occasions that he was not the marrying kind, has finally found himself a woman worth marrying and he's not waiting around to see if things work out either – he's going to walk her down the aisle this very month.

Of course, this might have something to do with the fact that he stopped dating cocktail waitresses and out-of-work models and eventually found himself a woman with the brains and the good looks. Regardless, George is not messing about and the much debated wedding is going to take place in Venice, Italy.

George Clooney lets it slip during awards show that he's marrying in Venice

The actor made the announcement himself, according to Gossipcop, when he attended the Celebrity Fight Night charity event in Florence, Italy. At the ceremony in question, Clooney received the humanitarian award, and when asked about the nuptials, he revealed that Venice was the place where he planned to get married.

He told the crowd: “I met my lovely bride-to-be here in Italy, whom I will be marrying, in a couple of weeks, in Venice, of all places.” So far, there's no word about the date of the wedding, but the month of September has been given as definite.

Previously, it was believed that the actor was going to get married at his private and luxurious villa on Lake Como, also in Italy, but since then it has been revealed that Clooney didn't want to bring the media circus the wedding was going to be so close to his neighbors and their small community.

There is still time for trouble until the altar

Clooney knows that the armies of paparazzi in the streets, trying to get photos of the wedding, would seriously annoy his neighbors, and decided to have his wedding in Venice. He and Amal were spotted on a short tour of Venice earlier this year, eyeing a medieval castle, which is believed to be the wedding location.

The road to the altar was not free of troubles for George, who was said to be arguing with his wife-to-be over the prenuptial agreement. Since Amal is a lawyer and has deep knowledge of the legal system, the actor had trouble making an ironclad prenup.

Among other things discussed by the two lovers was the guest list, and don't think that that was not an issue. George wants to invite Brad Pitt as his best man, but he also invited Jennifer Aniston, his ex. Now Brad is going to bring Angelina Jolie, his new wife, and she will most definitely try to upstage Jennifer at the wedding. Amal is afraid this will lead attention away from her.

Either way, this wedding is going to be something to look forward to.
