With the last hints of the continent-wide controversy dying down, Conchita Wurst is set to make headlines all over again and prove to the world that she's not a one-hit wonder. The Austrian singer, who took home this year's Eurovision Song Contest first prize, is now rumored to start touring with Lady Gaga.

The 25-year-old Austrian singer was born Thomas Neuwirth but somewhere along the line decided that he would much rather be a lady than a man and also that a singing career was the best choice. Despite protests from many Austrians in his homeland, he not only managed to represent his country at the annual music contest but also to go all the way to the top and come out first.

The Tablet reports that Conchita Wurst has now set her eyes firmly on Gaga's artRAVE tour, which she dreams of joining later this year. Also known in the press as “the Bearded Lady,” Conchita has met with a lot of opposition in her conservative homeland, but more and more people are starting to show their support.

Lady Gaga, known for her penchant for all things weird and out of the ordinary that would shock her audience, is said to have expressed her interest in having Conchita open for her in her concert in Istanbul, which is set to take place on September 16. Based on that performance, there is a real possibility that Conchita will be continuing to tour with the “Applause” singer and thus make a name for herself.

Lady Gaga isn't the only one showing support for the Bearded Lady. Among some of the artists that have shown themselves in favor were Sir Elton John and his partner David Furnish, who sent out a bouquet of flowers to her dressing room while she was preparing to appear on the Graham Norton Show.

Another artists who showed her support was Cher, who seemed to be impressed by Conchita's performance and sent her an appreciative tweet with some advice for her career: “#Eurovision Winner is Fascinating 2 Pieces of Advice..U Deserve a Lovelier Name & Wig? This is NOT SHADE I Respect & AdmireYour Resolve.”

Conchita didn't take Cher's message as a diss, as was happy to talks about it on the Graham Norton Show: “I was so excited to receive the tweet, which said, ‘darling you deserve a lovelier name and better wig.’ Cher, THE Cher, tweeted me.”
