Converting between tablet and laptop modes seems to be quite popular. Tablets started out as a keyboard-less gadget, but docks soon began shipping alongside them. Then companies came up with ways to integrate them in a way that allows for a seamless transition.

It has left the distinction between tablet and notebooks quite muddled.

That is why quite a few companies are selling what they call convertible tablets.

Dell has just revealed one at Computex 2013, in Taipei, Taiwan. It is called XPS 11 and has a 360-degree flip hinge.

A Core i5 Haswell CPU lies at the heart, and is paired with unknown capacities of RAM and storage.

An active stylus, USB 3.0, Thunderbolt, and an SD card reader are part of the spec sheet of the Windows 8 device.
