Not yet official

Turning our attention, yet again, towards the most interesting product releases displayed at this year's Computex show, we find something that has not officially made it into the spotlight. As he was walking around among the booths at Computex, a journalist got to cast his eyes on a product which, at a first glance, looked like an ASUS notebook. The interesting part about said notebook, that was not a version of the Eee PC, was the fact that it featured what seemed to be an integrated mini-projector.

Although the journalist wasn't able to get any technical specifications for the notebook, as there was no PR person next to it, he still managed to get some decent photos of the product. Thanks to them, we can see the notebook looks rather nice, that is, if you think "interesting" when saying "nice." The "mini projector" is integrated into the chassis, right above the LCD panel, leaving unoccupied a rather large portion above the LCD panel.

The projector was designed to rotate itself and swivel in order to allow users to easily close the notebook. This feature is rather similar to the one used for ASUS' webcams that come integrated into notebooks. It practically enables the user to manipulate the camera, or in this case the mini projector, so they can make the most of using of the device in question. Apparently, the journalist wasn't able to see the mini-projector actually at work but, keeping in mind that the product wasn't officially released, we can still hope to see some specs sometime in the future.

What this notebook actually offers, if it's going to be released, is a way for business users to take their projects and presentations everywhere they go. With this product, they will not require a separate projector - but we still have to consider the pending question of the quality of this built-in mini projector.
