The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), the United Nations organization that serves as an intergovernmental forum for scientific and technical cooperation in the nuclear field, has reported identifying malware on some of its computers.

According to Agence France-Presse, IAEA representatives noted that some computers were infected with malware during the past months. However, there’s no evidence that any data has been compromised.

The malware affected data stored on USB drives used by visitors at IAEA in Vienna. However, the devices were not infected.

The organization says that it is continually working on making sure that vital information is protected against cyberattacks.

In late 2012, hacktivists of a group named Parastoo gained access to IAEA systems and stole various pieces of information which they leaked online. At the time, the hackers demanded an investigation into Israel’s “secret nuclear facilities.”
