The "Computer supermarket" (CSM) brand might not trigger an immediate reaction inside your brain, since it is not as popular as OCZ's PC Power & Cooling subsidiary. The "Supermarket" is an online reseller
for computer systems and other peripherals, but now it brought into the spotlight a new and promising gaming rig to go along with a pretty fair price.

One of the most important features of the "Ultimate Gaming" rig is that it comes with 8GB of RAM memory as a standard. In fact, I think this is the world's first gaming system to ship with this amount of RAM, except for blade servers and dedicated graphics workstations. Although the amount of system RAM is impressive and will only be fully recognized in a 64-bit operating system, it is still DDR2 and not the latest DDR3. In other words, the system is fast, but is far from being the "daddy".

The system features an Intel Quad Core Q6600 CPU housed in a trendy and solid gaming case rigged with powerful fans to cool things down a little. The gaming system comes with a 22-inch widescreen monitor, the gamers' all times favorite screen size, that allows them to keep it on a desktop, along with some pizza boxes and the required cup of coffee.

CSM's rig comes with a dedicated 512MB nVidia 8600GT PCI-Express graphics card that would allow you to play the latest titles on the market (except for Crysis, running at full level of details, of course). If you plan on playing Zuma or other GameHouse.com titles, you'd better stop reading before you meet the rig's price tag. The video card also includes HDMI/HDTV connection to the monitor that would allow the users to transform their system into a home theater every time they're not shooting some UT monsters out there.

"Our customers expect us to provide great value systems but with this 8GB package we've even surprised ourselves," claims Computer Supermarket's Ian Bird. "If there's a better value premium gaming system on the market today we've yet to find it."

The system is available for $1,829 with immediate availability in the UK (£938.83).
