14 DAY TRIAL // Since investigators started suspecting that not only phones had been hacked by members of News of the World, they launched a new operation called Operation Tuleta, which targets computer hackers instead of voicemail hackers.
The operation showed its first results after a 52-year-old man, whose name was not made public, was arrested for allegedly being involved in spreading malware on computers with the purpose of obtaining stories for News of the World articles.
Sophos reports that all the arrests made so far were related to the phone hackings, but now it seams that the investigation is pointing in another direction.
The way things are unveiling, with the new clues found each day by police inquiries, the NOTW investigation will probably last a long time from now and more suspects will be taken in for questioning.
