The weirdest computer case ever

There are plenty of weird case mods "out there". There's a microwave oven, a R2D2 PC, a Lego Mac, a pumpkin and even a toilet PC [ADAMRK=1]case mod. However, none of these seems to get you closer to mother nature. Well, here's a cruel approach. Artist Kasey McMahon stuffed hardware into an old piece of beaver taxidermy. I'm sure this is definitely not the environmental friendly case you've been expecting.

The not-so-skinny case holds an Intel Core 2 Duo processor -T7 2.00 Ghz 667 4MB 1.0375-1.3 V, a 160 G Laptop Hard Drive, 1G of DDR2 667 Mhz RAM, an AOpen Mini ITX A-1945Gtt-VFA (RoHS) motherboard with an external power supply, Panasonic UJ-85J Slim DVD Burner and a Tornado 800 mm fan (I wonder where the fan goes). That red button you see in the picture is not actually coagulated blood, but the power switch. One thing it won't do is move into your bed while you're sleeping (it does come with the "not for sale kind of art" guarantee afterall).

Apparently, artist Kasey McMahon finds that putting a computer in a beaver is "intrinsically funny". If you're one of those art freaks that enjoys seeing stuffed animals smiling at the walls, you can see it (touch it, smell it) at Brewery Artwalk in downtown Los Angles on April 21&22. No one knows how bad this thing stinks, so if you intend to check it out, better keep a 10 m distance. Make it a 100 m. Or perhaps you might wait for Kasey's next work to be displayed. The artist intends to make a car out of a giant squid.

We are just a few, but there are many of you, Softpedia users, out there. That's why we thought it would be a good idea to create an email address for you to help us a little in finding gadgets we missed. Interesting links are bound to be posted with recognition going mainly to those who submit. The address is .
