Anuman Interactive, the company that acquired acquired the Microïds brand and portfolio at the end of 2009, just released its new “French Cycling Tour 2010” game for iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad. Targeting cycling fans, the game offers a new concept of sport game. The principle behind “French Cycling Tour” game is based on a “flip board game” system, in which the player moves cyclists around the race track using a flip board.

Further, the company has updated the “flip board game”, created sometime in the '90s, and replaced it with a new one that requires players to slide their finger over the iPad or iPhone screen. The new concept enables players an easier way to relive the Tour de France through fictional stage.

In “French Cycling Tour”, the player starts by choosing his team from among the 10 teams available before he sets outs on the race. As teams have different stats, players can choose the one that think it suits his needs, depending on endurance, speed and climbing skills of each one.

Each race in the game enables 7 teams (represented by a cyclist) to compete against one another. The game requires the player to manage his team's endurance and adapt his bicycle's speeds, during each race, according to the track's terrain. You will have to make tough choices and take some risks to win the race.

”French Cycling Tour 2010” offers two solo game modes, three game difficulties and a multiplayer mode, where up to 6 competitors compete against one another at the same time. “Tour” mode offers front door entry into the competition for a complete Tour de France (namely 10 fictional stages, such as Roubaix‐Reims, Dijon‐Lyons or even Versailles‐Paris). Inversely, “Stage” mode offers the opportunity to relax and take time to cover the 10 stages available.

The “French Cycling Tour 2010” game is available for download from the App Store and can be bought for $5.99 USD.
