Developer Relic and publisher SEGA announce that they are launching an open beta period for Company of Heroes 2, which will last until June 18, allowing all those interested in World War II strategy to test the mechanics of the new title.

Only multiplayer will be offered and there are both competitive and cooperative modes with six maps offered for gamers.

45 levels of progression can be obtained in the open beta of Company of Heroes 2, giving access to new Generals, skins and unit upgrades.

Those who take party will be able to keep all their unlocks as long as they buy the game and play it on the same account.

Greg Wilson, producer of Company of Heroes 2, states, “COH2 has had one of the most successful Beta programs we've ever run at Relic and the support of the fans has been a critical factor in making the game more balanced and stable for launch.”

Company of Heroes 2 launches on June 25 on the PC.
