It seems that the new issue of the real world magazine PC Gamer includes a reveal linked to Company of Heroes 2 that Relic is currently developing and that still uses World War II as a setting.

The article reveals that locations for missions in the single-player campaign will include well-known cities like Stalingrad, Kursk, Moscow and Smolensk, but no information is given on the gameplay mechanics or on the units that each side will get to use.

Quinn Duffy, who is the lead designer working on Company of Heroes 2, is quoted as saying, “We want more authenticity, we want more realism, we want more tactical improvements.”

Publisher THQ has offered no comment on the leak but it’s probably only a matter of time before the game is officially revealed and the fan base gets more details about what it can expect from it.

Some fans were hoping that Relic would use the Company of Heroes sequel to jump into some more modern conflicts or even present day.
