Developer Relic and composer Cris Velasco announce that they are working together to create the original score for the coming Company of Heroes 2 real-time strategy title, using orchestra musicians and a choir selected from Czech Republic, Slovakia, Austria and Hungary.

The music aims to capture the heroism and tragedy that mixed on the Eastern Front of World War II.

David Renn, the audio director at Relic, states, “From the depths of the Russian winter to the epic scale of Eastern Front battles, the score supports the game in a truly cinematic way and we couldn't be happier with the result.”

Velasco adds, “I approached this score from the very beginning as more of a ‘Symphony for the Eastern Front’ rather than a typical game score.”

The composer has created scores for both Mass Effect 3 and for God of War.
